Emmett Dunn

NABF President

Rev. Emmett Dunn has been the NABF as President since January 2023. In addition to the strengths and connections from his current role as Executive Secretary-Treasurer of Lott Carey, Rev. Dunn brings over twenty years of experience in working with the Baptist World Alliance. Emmett lives in Fort Washington, Maryland with his wife and family.

TaNikka Sheppard

NABF General Secretary

An NABF Executive Officer since 2019, Rev. Dr. TaNikka Sheppard began serving in the role of Acting General Secretary for the NABF in June 2024. On October 9th at the 2024 Virtual Annual Meeting Dr. Sheppard was voted to become our NABF General Secretary. She has extensive leadership and ministry experience with the Baptist family, as the immediate past President of the Baptist Women of North America (BWNA), and as a former vice president of the BWA’s Women’s department. She currently serves as Regional Executive Minister of the Cleveland Baptist Association (American Baptist Churches USA). Dr. Sheppard lives in Cleveland, OH.
